Job Hunting, Writing Papers, Thinking about my future. Again, I am at a crossroads. Five years ago, I was so happy that I received the offer from University of Washington. Although I got offers from three different universities. I chose UW just because the well-known movie "Sleepless in Seattle". Actually, the city is far beyond my expectation. It is so beautiful that I lost myself from day one. I came to UW in order to pursue the academic excellent. However, the goal is so difficult to reach. It's not because I am not a hard-working guy. In academia, it's all about networking, connections, and fortune. I was able to publish 4-5 papers during the five years' Ph.D. study. It's kind of productive among all the graduate students. However, this will not ensure a high pay job for you. In reality, it's all about skills and your capability. In the past five years, I met so many people from various countries with different cultural backgrounds. I made a lot of good friends. But still, I feel lonely. Are they really your friends?
